Melanie specialises in Medical Negligence, Personal Injury and Mental Health cases.
Qualifying as a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in November 1996, Melanie now has over 20 years of experience in the law.
She joined Youngs Law (formerly Swain & Co) in March 2006 as a senior fee earner at the firm’s Southampton office before moving to Havant in 2012.
In 2013 Melanie became a Senior Associate and now heads both the Clinical Negligence/Personal Injury and Mental Health departments.
Melanie has a wide experience in injury claims and mental health law. Her tactical awareness and technical expertise mean that Melanie can pursue even the most difficult cases combining that knowledge with tenacity and empathy.
Melanie is an able and determined advocate representing her clients effectively and eloquently, giving a voice to the needs and views of the most vulnerable. Melanie has been accepted onto the Law Society Mental Health Panel and regularly represents the interests of her clients before the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
