Laura Payne is a Trainee Solicitor and is currently enjoying working within the Mental Health, Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Teams.

Laura graduated from the University of Law, Guildford in 2020 after achieving a Distinction in her LPC LLM.  She joined the firm as a Family Paralegal in June 2020.

Having begun her legal career in 2016, Laura previously worked within Private Client and assisted clients with complex high net worth estate planning, Deputyship applications and estate administration.  She has since managed a number of Family Law files and has assisted clients with a broad range of issues, including divorce, Financial Remedy Proceedings, Children Act Proceedings, injunctions and Care Proceedings.

Prior to commencing her studies in Law, Laura read English Literature at the University of Reading and graduated with the highest First Class Honours degree of her class in 2013.  She subsequently completed a qualification to teach English as a foreign language and spent a short time doing this in China.  Laura has volunteered with the National Centre for Domestic Violence and was a Corporate Mentor with the charity, Into University.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking with her partner and springer spaniel, Poppy, and spending time with friends and family.
