We place a lot of trust in medical professionals and often don’t question their procedures. However, if a patient does not give informed consent to a medical procedure, the medical professional may be liable if the procedure results in any injury or harm.

For any patient, the thought and process of having to have surgery is an extremely stressful and daunting experience. We place a lot of faith in surgeons and more often than not they deliver to the highest standards.

however, sometimes errors or negligence can occur and it can have a life changing affect.  If you, or someone you know has suffered as a result of an error or negligence during surgery they may be able to claim compensation.

General Surgical Negligence

Medical mistakes made during surgery can have devastating effects and leave you with long term physical or psychological damage.

If you think you have suffered and would like to make a claim, our experienced medical negligence solicitors are here to help you.

We have experience in helping surgical negligence claims arising from general surgical errors to mistakes made during procedures such as:

What does a claim look like?

Our client had his right knee amputated below the knee following a failure to treat a diabetic ulcer in reasonable time. His ulcer was allowed to become infected to such an extent that there was no other option other than to amputate.

Our client went for routine keyhole gynaecological surgery as a day patient. She awoke to find something went wrong and her operation was converted to open surgery. This has left our client with a vertical scar and distorted belly button. She contacted us to find answers as to why it happened.

Making a claim:

If you have suffered with any of the above following your surgery and you’d like to make a claim then get in contact with our medical negligence lawyers.

They have a wealth of experience in dealing with negligence cases and help hundreds of people to get the most from their claim every single year. Fill our a contact form or give us a call and we’ll answer all your questions and see if you have grounds to make a claim.
