where client interest is at the heart of everything we do

As leading and longest established solicitors in Stoke on Trent. Our team consists of The Law Society accredited specialist Family law solicitors, Care solicitors, Criminal solicitors, and Mental Health solicitors. We also hold CQS, The Law Society's quality mark for legal experts in buying or selling property and are trusted by some of the UK's biggest lenders.

Our specialisation in our key areas make us experts rather than 'jack of all trades'.

Our specialist solicitors are here to provide thorough and confidential legal advice.

We are a Law Society Lexcel accredited firm which indicates our high standards of practice and advice.  Our expertise lies in the Legal Aid work under the Legal Aid Agency’s (LAA) Public Funding Schemes.  These schemes are available to people who cannot afford to pay legal costs.  As expert family law solicitors, we can advise you on all family matters (to include Domestic Abuse).  Our Care solicitors, Mental Health solicitors and Criminal solicitors are all accredited by The Law Society and are able to offer advice under Legal Aid.

As one of the longest established Legal Aid solicitors in Stoke-on-Trent, we have been helping people of Stoke-on-Trent since 1836.  We have helped thousands of people move house, represented parents and children in care proceedings, advised couples through the trauma of family breakdown and represented many in criminal defence litigation.

We pride ourselves in putting the client interest at the heart of everything we do.  Each matter we deal with is given personal attention by a solicitor, whether it is moving house or a court case requiring representation by our criminal solicitors, rest assured that you are in safe hands.

We believe in transparency and therefore list our fees on our website. This is so our clients are aware of how much we are going to charge them in from the outset.

Our main office is in Longton.  We have another office in Newcastle-under-Lyme (trading as Cooks Solicitors)
